Elektrisch schakelen met Shimano Dura-Ace Di2

In 2012 introduceerde Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groep set en bijpassende schakelhendels (ST-9070). Op de top van deze versnellingshendel is een knop. Door een software-update en de wireless unit die Shimano introduceerde kunnen deze knoppen nu worden gebruikt als afstandsbediening voor externe apparaten zoals fietscomputers.

Shimano heeft hier het volgende over te zeggen:

“Thanks to this update, riders with a Dura-Ace 9070 group can pair external devices through the D-Fly wireless unit (SW-EWW01) and use the button on top of the bracket, under the hood, as a remote control switch. This allows riders to keep their hands on top of the hoods while scrolling through the screens of compatible computers. This development fits within Shimano’s stress-free riding concept. It is up to the developers of the external devices, such as cycle computers, to design the exact features that the buttons control.”
